Associate Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy
Arthur van Benthem is an expert in environmental and energy economics, exploring the economic efficiency of energy policy. He is a faculty fellow at the Kleinman Center and an associate professor of Business Economics and Public Policy at Wharton.
Katherine Vaz Gomes recently defended her Ph.D. in chemical engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a graduate research assistant in the Clean Energy Conversions Lab and a member of the Kleinman Center’s Student Advisory Council.
Steve Viscelli is a faculty fellow at the Kleinman Center and a lecturer in the Department of Sociology. His research focuses on work, labor market economics, and economic regulation, specifically in trucking industry.
Domenic Vitiello is an associate professor in the Department of City and Regional Planning in the Weitzman School of Design.
Gernot Wagner is a climate economist. He teaches climate economics and policy at NYU, where he is a clinical associate professor. Wagner is a 2021-2022 Kleinman Center Visiting Scholar.
Shelley Welton is Presidential Distinguished Professor of Law and Energy Policy with the Kleinman Center and Penn Carey Law. Her research focuses on how climate change is transforming energy and environmental law and governance.
Bethany Wiggin is a Professor of German and the Founding Director of the Penn Program in Environmental Humanities. Her research spans fields usually held apart: early modern German and Atlantic cultural history, and the environmental humanities.
Jen Wilcox is Presidential Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering and Energy Policy. Her research expertise is in carbon capture and sequestration technologies, in order to minimize the negative impacts of fossil fuels.
Hannah Wiseman is a Professor of Law at Penn State Law and a Professor in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. She was a 2019-2020 visiting scholar at the Kleinman Center.
Linda Wu is the Sustainable Agriculture Fund Research Associate. She is pursuing a dual degree in Wharton and in the College of Arts and Sciences. Wu was also a 2022 Undergraduate Student Fellow.
Shu Yang is a professor of materials science and engineering and a professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering in the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
Laura Lee Ru Ye is a member of the Kleinman Center’s Student Advisory Council and a Wharton student concentrating in Finance and Business Analytics. She was also a 2023 Undergraduate Student Fellow.
Daniel Yergin is the Vice Chairman of IHS Markit. He is the recipient of the 2015 Carnot Prize for distinguished contributions to energy policy.
