Research Agenda

We support the energy transition with research on various topics but emphasizing three core themes: Greenhouse Gas Removal, Institutions and Governance, and Policy Design. We support research that:

  • Addresses timely challenges
  • Attracts and engages critical stakeholders
  • Builds a diverse portfolio
  • Advances the work of the University of Pennsylvania

Support

The Kleinman Center for Energy Policy was established in July 2014 with a generous $10-million gift to the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design from Scott (C’94 and W’94) and Wendy Kleinman. In 2019, their second gift of $30 million established our endowment fund. This fund has since benefited from the generosity of many Penn alumni donors.
