Shubham Love

Research Assistant

Shubham Love is a master of environmental studies candidate at the University of Pennsylvania, concentrating in environmental policy. He holds a background in biotechnology, where he researched the epigenetic regulation of nitrate and salt responses in rice to support sustainable agri-food systems. Shubham currently serves as a research assistant with the Sustainable Agriculture Fund at the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy.

His work at Penn focuses on the nexus of sustainable nitrogen management and carbon markets, with a specific emphasis on Indian smallholder farmers. This work is further supported by experience in policy tracking and analysis through tools such as R, Python, and GIS. He has also been active in science communication, maintaining a blog where he publishes analytical essays on climate and policy for a global audience.

His interests include evidence-based environmental governance, science policy, energy, climate, and conservation.
