Associate Director

Bill Cohen is the associate director of operations, programming, and data analytics. In this role, he oversees financial and office operations, manages the center’s diverse events and programming, and works closely with all staff to implement the center’s research strategy. Additionally, Cohen drives data-driven research projects, leveraging spatial and GIS analysis to expand the center’s research capabilities.

Before settling in Philadelphia, Cohen spent three years teaching English in Thailand, Spain, and France. In 2010, he served as the liaison for high schools from five European countries on a successful E.U. grant proposal, creating an exchange program for students pursuing alternative energy research. After returning to the United States, Cohen helped start a local, artisan food company, Righteous Felon.

Cohen holds a master of science in applied geoscience from the University of Pennsylvania, where he focused on geographic information systems and hydrogeology.
