Film Screening and Dinner: The Shadow War
Event Summary
Join the University of Pennsylvania’s Perry World House, Kleinman Center for Energy Policy, Department of Russia and East European Studies, and the Department of Cinema and Media Studies for a screening of “IN FOCUS – THE SHADOW WAR” – a 2023 investigative documentary produced by public broadcasters of Norway (NRK), Denmark (DR), Sweden (SVT), & Finland (YLE).
Equal parts geopolitical thriller and espionage tale, ride along with a team of Northern Europe’s leading investigative journalists as they probe the ongoing scourge of Russia-attributed and Russia-suspected sabotage incidents against European energy and critical infrastructure across land and sea, including live encounters with suspected Russian spy vessels from the Barents to the Baltic Sea. Following the screening, we will have a panel discussion where the audience can ask questions to one of the journalists, Mr. Håvard Gulldahl, who will be visiting Penn for the event from Norway’s public broadcaster NRK!
