Got old electronics? Energy Week is the perfect time to recycle them responsibly.

Event Summary

Join us for a week-long e-waste drive during Energy Week at Penn 2026! As we explore the future of energy and sustainability, let’s take action by responsibly recycling our old and unused electronics.

Drop-off bins are located under the stairs in the lobby of the Fisher Fine Arts Library, accessible to the general public from 9am to midnight from Monday, February 23 through Friday, February 27. We’ll ensure these items are properly recycled, preventing harmful materials from ending up in landfills and supporting a more sustainable energy future.

What You Can Recycle:

  • Old cell phones, chargers, and accessories
  • Laptops and computer peripherals (keyboards, mice, cables)
  • Small household electronics (tablets, headphones, smart devices)
  • Batteries (alkaline, lithium-ion, and rechargeable)

Why Participate?

  • Reduce environmental impact by keeping hazardous materials out of landfills
  • Support responsible recycling and circular economy efforts
  • Make room for new, energy-efficient technology in a sustainable way

Power up Energy Week with a commitment to sustainability—bring your e-waste and make a difference!
