The Kleinman Center for Energy Policy is looking to hire a qualified Penn student (undergraduate or graduate) for a flexible summer internship. This student would work closely with the Kleinman team on a number of administrative and research tasks. Our hope is that this student will continue their work with the center on a part-time basis this coming academic year.
Job Requirements
- Support the Center’s Weekly News Bulletin: Meet weekly with our Research Associate, scan and distill key energy-relevant news stories on a daily basis, and regularly participate in the drafting of news highlights.
- Collaborate on Research: Working closely with the Deputy Director, complete a policy digest on a mutually agreed to research topic.
- Accomplish Essential Administrative Tasks: Projects may include, but are not limited to, updating the Center’s CRM database and building out a new alumni LinkedIn group.
- Develop a Student Council Strategy Plan: Identify a cohort of students to participate in student council, and design a process for making the best use of quarterly student meetings.
- Perform Additional Duties as Assigned
Qualifications
An ideal candidate for this position is highly motivated to learn from, and contribute to, Energy Policy Research. They are highly skilled at multi-tasking and work well independently and as a member of a team. Candidates must have excellent research and written communication skills. A foundational academic background in a relevant field is essential. Ability to work from the Penn office is a plus.
