Penn Led Team Sets the Agenda for the Future of Tribology Technology

Tribology has the potential to vastly increase energy efficiency, but has not yet entered the public consciousness as a means of reducing energy consumption.  In this month’s edition of Tribology & Lubrication Technology, Kleinman Center Research Director Angela Pachon joined Penn School of Engineering and Applied Sciences faculty Robert Carpick and Andrew Jackson, and tribology researchers from the University of Florida, Sandia National Laboratories, and the Southwest Research Institute,  to discuss the ARPA-E funded Tribology Opportunities Study. This output of this study will set the research agenda for ARPA-E tribology projects.
