Erik Gilje is an assistant professor of finance at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He designed and created Wharton’s first course on Energy Finance. His research focus is on financial institutions, empirical corporate finance, and energy finance. Erik pursued his Ph.D. studies at Boston College and has an undergraduate degree in Engineering from Cornell University. Prior to starting graduate school, Erik worked at ExxonMobil Corporation and Citi Equity Research, he also co-founded Oseberg, LLC an oil and gas data analytics company.
