Derek He is the 2023 Kleinman Apollo Fellow. He is also a 2023 Undergraduate Student Fellow.
Derek is a sophomore in the University of Pennsylvania’s Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology, studying computer science and business. He is passionate about addressing the climate crisis with technology, business innovation, and investing. He has prior investing experience across many stages of companies, including pre-seed, deep tech startups through Wharton Impact Venture Associates and pro-bono consulting projects through Penn Climate Ventures as well as core and core+ energy infrastructure assets through Ullico Inc.’s infrastructure fund. Leveraging his computer science background and research experience, he is also exploring climate technology research and development using computational material design.
