Utility Insecurity as a Public Health Issue 

Join the Penn’s Center for Public Health, the Penn Center for Food and Nutrition Policy, the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy, and the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics (Penn LDI) for a cross-sector policy symposium to examine utility insecurity as a pressing public health issue.

The symposium will explore how access to affordable and reliable access to water, cooking fuel, heat, and cooling shapes health and well-being as significant determinants of health.

Participants will hear from expert panelists, engage in Q&A, and take part in interactive breakout sessions. Following the event, attendees will have the opportunity to join a working group to translate key insights into a policy brief aimed at advancing utility security and health equity regionally.
