Annenberg Center's FactCheck.org Launches New SciCheck Feature

FactCheck.org is a nonprofit, non-partisan project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center that aims to improve public knowledge and understanding by fact-checking statements made by prominent politicians and candidates. Thanks to a new grant from the Stanton Foundation, FactCheck has added the SciCheck feature and compiled false and misleading statements made about climate change over the past two years.

Statements checked include claims by Representative Lamar Smith and Senator Ted Cruz that satellite data does not indicate rising temperatures, as well as President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry asserting that the U.S. has reduced carbon emissions more than any other country.
